Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Yanahuara – Mantanay – Aororaycocha
We will pick you up at the hotel early in the morning and travel by private transportation to Yanahuara-Pucara (3300m/10,826), the starting point of our hike. We will start to hike toward the Misky Uno (3650m/ 11,975ft) through the Mantanay valley where we will enjoying beautiful vegetation of polylepis trees and streams fed by the glacial waterfalls. As we leave the lunch spot we will enjoy views of Llama and alpaca herds grazing along the trail, continue ascending to the Campsite Auroray Cocha Lake (4150m/13,615ft) which is a beautiful campsite with impressive views of the Snow-cape peaks.

Day 2: Aororay Cocha – Patacancha Homestay
After breakfast, we will begin our ascent toward the Huayruruyocqasa (4300m/14,107ft) this is the highest point of the hike. After the pass the rest of our hike will be downhill until we arrive to Patacancha Community (3600m/1,811ft).for lunch with our local famly.Patacancha is a community made up of small stones and home of the native Quechua speaking families who are dedicated to agricultural and cattle pasturing, among them the llamas and alpacas the same way our ancestors did. After lunch we will be immersed in the culture and daily life of our host families, we may plant and harvest crops, prepare meals and of course we will be able to learn about their traditional weaving techniques.

Day 3: Patacancha – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
Today we will have breakfast with our family and say goodbye. Then we will take our private transportation to Ollantaytambo (2790m/9,153ft) town where we will have lunch and have some time to do the hike to the Inca storehouses. Then in the early afternoon we will take the train to Aguas Calientes (2040m/6,692ft) and our hotel for the night.
Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
After an early breakfast at the hotel and a half-hour bus ride to the entrance of Machu Picchu we start our walking tour of the amazing Inca citadel. Then you will have free time or to climb Wayna Picchu Mountain which offers spectacular views from the top. Later we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then take the train to Ollantaytambo. From there our private transportation will take us to the hotel in Cusco

- Current passport is required. If your passport expired between booking and starting your tour, bring both the old and new passports!
